How come Github doesn't have a social network?
I mean it has the implicit kind, but I can't simply announce and discuss my projects (which is what would make open source development actually fun). It's a feature not a bug. You can discuss your projects in whatever platform you want. Each one has a different style and rules, so you can choose the one that is more fun for you.
