Hi, I built Ghana House Planner https://ghanahouseplanner.com to help individual homeowners, builders, and DIYers in Ghana/Diaspora plan and estimate residential construction costs. The floor plans are built to comply with Ghana building codes.

It lets users:

- Select common house types (e.g., 2-bedroom traditional, luxury, etc)

- Customize materials (foundation, roofing, finishes, etc.) using up-to-date local pricing (updated monthly)

- See real-time cost breakdowns across categories (steel, electrical, plumbing…)

- Export or share estimates

- Manage different phases of construction

The rendering is built with React and is intentionally lightweight— the 3D viewer (currently under development).

The platform is free to use except for project management and using the LLM to define your house plans.

Current features include:

Region-aware material database (30+ items, sourced locally)

Modular cost estimator with category filters

Mobile-responsive UI (simple, fast, no bloat)

Next: job directory & marketplace (for local artisans & suppliers)

I would be happy to receive your feedback — especially on UX, scalability, or how tools like this could serve other regions. I believe this is also useful for Nigeria and potentially other tropical countries especially for the floorplans

Well done, it looks clean and easy to use. As a building professional, I think this is only useful for understanding construction, I mean the floor plan. It will be much better if you could create a Revit plugin

Thanks for the feedback. I understand your point of view on revit but this solution is needed since it allows layman to have a good understanding of their house project before they commit. Users will come to you professionals with solid demands and floorplans that helps both parties converge on a professional solution without too much iteration.
