Dual-core ThinkPad owner, wondering about Black Friday trends?
The fact I own a dual-core Thinkpad should signal a few things about me. I am considering buying a new laptop. What trends have people observed about Black Friday which may help me buy a laptop with a budget of $600? For $500 you can get a refurbished Lenovo X1

(which leaves you $100 to invest in Ethereum for your next laptop.) It would be nice to know what are the earliest Lenovo laptops that fully support the latest Windows 11. Plus, also the earliest models where bios updates are not being neglected by the manufacturer. Even if Windows 10 is the limit these are ideal Linux machines. In addition, there have got to be some where no more bios updates will be forthcoming, but the final version is not that dangerously out-of-date. ThinkPad T480/T480s. Not only do they support Windows 11, they also support Coreboot and Libreboot so you no longer have to rely on Lenovo for firmware updates (and it is more secure than the official firmware).
