More interesting than YouTube being down is the fact that YouTube doesn’t appear to have an official status page that is exposed externally.

just flinging a wild guess, certificate expiry seems plausible, weve seen it many times before with other sites.
Agreed, seems like the actual video serving is totally down.
Not totally, I'll catch an occasional video - I'm watching one right now - but then I'll switch and it'll die again. Can't use Youtube music either for the same reason.
Wonder if this is related to the (dreadful) redesign that's rolling out today?
