Ask HN: Finding a US job as an American expat?
Has anyone had success using their American citizenship status as a way to get a US tech job or a company based in the US with an EU presence to get better pay?
I’m an expat in the UK and considering a change. Is it much harder? UK salaries are very low and cost of living is very high, so trying to open my options. That’s unlikely at best to get you US pay these days. Everyone I know in similar situations is taking local salaries - frightfully low by US standards - with no other alternatives offered.
