I like how they frame it as “meeting customer needs”, as if customers were begging to see ads on their expensive fridge.

I now have ads on HBO Max, Prime Video and Disney+. Netflix also has ads.

Phone apps collect your data and show you ads.

Some smart TVs show you ads, and also collect your data.
