Context - A senior engineer in Bay Area with 10+ years of experience. Current company is a unicorn startup, pays well, work seems impactful, but revenue growth at the company is slowing down. A lot of colleagues have moved on to the foundational model companies, fast growing/hot startups. Life is full of tradeoffs and you'll always be missing out on one thing or another every time you choose something. So the real question isn't are you missing out, it's are you missing out on something that is very important to you. Only you can know that. You have to specify the area in which you think you are missing out. Financially, Quality of life, Intellectual bragging rights...the list is infinite > in Bay Area Yes
