HN this is completely random
I used to make normal libraries - the hype quickly disappeared. And here I made something in 20 minutes, without fanaticism, and got 21 upvotes HN sometimes really works randomly. That's the way it is. Generally though I think people on HN are interested in languages, compilers, stuff like that. I know I am because I spend most of my time doing applications work which makes systems look interesting. Also what creators like and audiences like is not the same. In posting photographs to social I get the most votes on flower photos and less on the sports photos which I find a lot more challenging and interesting.
