Ask HN: What breakthroughs are we missing while focusing on AI?
With so much focus and investment going into AI right now, what important advancements or breakthroughs in other fields do you think are being overlooked? I see the occasional story on quantum chip advancements. I assume these stories would be getting far more traction if they weren’t being crowded out by the AI hype. How many emerging techs are speeding up because of ai? How many werent an option until AI helped the breakthrough?
