With the stories of immense productivity gains for the last ~6 months due to adoption of tools utilizing language models, I’m curious to know if you have anecdotes or evidence of a more rapid pace of improvement to the software you use. No. Vim gets gradually better, but no sudden jumps. pacman has gotten faster subjectively, that might be parallel downloads. On android, it seems like autocorrect has gotten more aggressive and a little stupider. Chrome is doing dumber things. No, I don't feel like there are notable improvements because certain updates can be word but it's slowly gets a little better but I wouldn't so A remarkable one Local agentic coding is literally improving by the day lately. Practically everything that's happened has happened in the last like 6 months. I haven't noticed any change on this front.
