360: Do I look like a leader you'd want to work with?

2 points by codeguppy 5 months ago · 2 comments · 1 min read

I’ve spent 20+ years in tech, with 15 of those in software leadership. Recently I decided to look for a new opportunity, and as part of that I’ve been sharing some of my lessons and reflections on LinkedIn (where I have ~7800 followers) and a small about me website.

I’d love a kind of “virtual 360” from this community: based on how I show up, do I sound like the kind of leader you’d want to work with? I consider your feedback a gift. Please let me know your opinion.

I think it would be better if you focused on personal opinions and experiences than generic tech topics; I cover in more depth here: https://developerwithacat.com/blog/202507/blog-engagement-ti...

Make the photo smaller, resolution is too low for laptop screen; copy is a bit too word-y for me.

Only certain kinds of content do well there, as you probably can tell :)

For me it would be good to see your personal takes on tech leadership. And I'm not talking about generic takes, but authentic stuff that maybe is more controversial. Eg my personal take is that the optimal amount of code a tech lead should write on their own is 0.
