Hard to figure out if this was due to Musk or poor quality causing the cars to start failing. Still making payments on mine and it's in the shop for electrical failures to the tune of $3k. I think Musk is a tool, but not as big of one as I am for buying this car to begin with.

Tesla's _always_ had fairly severe quality issues, but it didn't really seem to hurt brand loyalty for a long time.

That does beg the question, did product quality collapse as steeply and at the same time that he made his worst lapses in character judgment?

Could be, or maybe his own character gained greater scrutiny in the process and didn't stand up.

I lost interest in his endeavors after his crash out on Christmas showing his disdain and hate for American tech workers.

He clearly wants to replace Americans with h1b's. But also, the last thing I need is a car that requires a fucking app and a monthly subscription...

Was it that or the Nazi salutes on national television?

I'm still curious why these sorts of discussions never talk about the fact that leftist protestors firebombed dealerships across the US and attacked people driving the cars.

Do you really think people are going to want to drive a car and risk being attacked in the future? Especially ones with families?

    attacked people driving the cars

Did this happen? And if so in what number. Dealerships got attacked and cars got vandalised, but are there any records of the people driving Teslas being physically attacked?
