Ask HN: Is HN flooded with AI-propaganda bots?

I've been a long-time lurker here and have always appreciated HN for its interesting tech discussions. BUT, I'm noticing a pattern in recent AI/LLM coding threads that concerns me.

In almost every AI-related post, there's a good number of comments from newer accounts that describe AI tools with uncritical enthusiasm. They seem like propaganda-ish bots that are all over Reddit programming subs. I know "AI labs" thrive on this type of post and comment, but this seems a bit too much, honestly. I'm not saying LLMs aren't useful for coding, but they're not magical in any sense.

A few questions for the community: Are you seeing similar patterns? Do you think this is somewhat avoidable in some way or the hype just have to tear off?

Maybe I'm overthinking it. But I'm curious about others' opinions on maintaining discussion quality around this topic, it's starting to be strange.

Just because i have a disability with captchas... doesnt mean im a bot.

I'm totally an uncritical enthusiastic optimistic fan of AI/LLM.

Please downvote or flag such comments (but only flag if you're fairly sure.)

I'm pretty new user, I can't downvote (and flag maybe) I think? I read there is a karma threshold to downvote but I don't know what it is. Sometimes I don't have the flag button though
