How to replicate liquid glass, in CSS

A few days ago, I submitted my take on liquid glass using only CSS and SVG filters (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=44265285). I decided to throw together an article on how I approached solving that problem, and the implementation details I arrived at. I'm trying to get more in the swing of writing again, so this is my first real post in a couple of years. Let me know what you think!
