Ask HN: What happens post ESOPs vesting period is over at a startup?
Initial ESOPs compensation is generally higher than subsequent refreshers thus at the end of vesting period (commonly 4 years), the total compensation is significantly reduced post vesting.
I researched on this but couldn't find any blogs or real person experiences.
How do others handle it? Usually by leaving and working somewhere else.
