The article mentions off hand that these chips are banned in the US. How are the big players in AI in the US taking it? In the AI arms race it feels like a chip like this is a serious advantage.

Ah, the woke agenda has gone too far..

Jokes aside, I think swaying away from discrete electronics has the potential to bring great innovation in fuzzy domains which do not require strict accuracy like ML or a subset of control systems (although when those are limited by computational power, flexibility tends to be rather valued)

    Taking away strict accuracy also takes away reproducibility, which makes debugging much harder. As an example, I am struggling to understand how my younger one is turning out.
