Tell HN: Chrome Slows Down on Hacker News on My High-End Windows 11 PC
I'm running into a frustrating issue where Google Chrome slows down or goes into a loading state while reading big threads on hackernews. (For example this post: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=41002195)
All I have to do is start clicking the minimize button on threads and my entire PC stops responding for a solid 30 seconds.
I have a really beefy setup so its most likely not from there
Has anyone else run into this? Does it do that even in Chrome safe mode (or incognito, guest profile, etc.) with no extensions? Does it do that on Firefox? What about other Chromium browsers?
