AI Broke Coding Interviews

I always liked the take-home project interviews where you had to come back after completing the project and answer questions about why you used certain things/methods/etc. If a candidate had AI code it for them, I don't think they would be able to explain it very well.

Well, let's be honest here. Coding interviews were already broken before genAI was a thing. GenAI is making everything worse, but isn't the root cause.

In the short term this probably means companies will shift to in person interviews.
