Just a weekend project that is a free service to prove you wrote some text by hand. It falls into the interesting category of a tool that responds to Ai trends but has no AI involved at all.

I think you have a great idea here and I would keep at it. There are very few, if any, good solutions to combating the influx of AI generated work in academia. For many, I think your solution would be welcomed - even if imperfect- it gives administrations something they can point to when asked what they are doing to combat academic integrity associated with AI. I am happy to talk more if it would be useful -- I can think of a few longer term features that would potentially be useful.

What is: show hn? Sorry if I posted this is the wrong place.

should maybe be a show hn, anyway I suppose one downside is that people may be working with something and want to import it - how would that work?

From the perspective of education at least, I see a use case in requiring students to complete all work within this app; similar to other tools for online test-taking. Of course there are always ways to game the system, but creating enough friction would decrease the ease and frequency of AI generated assignments and papers. I find this very interesting given that my institution officially forbids faculty from using any form of AI detection systems to detect academic fraud.
