Ask HN: Why is SaaS discovery still hard even with Deepresearch/Manus?
I still find myself searching for a SaaS solution to a technical problem for way too long. And then a few days/weeks later I come across a product that solves that problem really well and wish I had found it earlier.
Gpt or deepresearch doesn't do a good job at going in depth, I still have to read the documentation and blog posts of a bunch of tools before getting a good idea of what'll work.
Do other people feel the same? What has worked best for you? Whatever makes you think a synthetic text extruding machine would help with your problem? the synthetic text extruding machine's marketing claims I use G2 to search and compare apps and find what I need from their categories. I think deepsearch is not very good as it is based on social traction online, while most good solutions are tailored and don't always get the most hype on blogs and posts (if something answers your needs you won't necessarily post about it...). yeah totally - I think G2 doesn't really let you describe your problem in details and get the best SaaS that solve that right? Would be awesome to have a really effective way to do that
