All These Stripe Dispute Fee Changes – What's Going On?
chargeblast.comI'm trying to find an answer to why Stripe is making so many changes to dispute fees. I'm in the subscription space for $19.99 per month and now I need to pay $30.00 for each dispute I want to fight. I'm totally in the hole now. Anyone have any suggestions?
Don’t fight them, just block the user from ever using the service again and keep going. Statistically you’ll lose even with airtight evidence.
What are the odds of winning normally? I see like 10% win-rate.
It’s largely dependent on the client’s bank/card issuer, but it’s definitely well under 50%
Increasing the fee for lost disputes seems fine, but the fact that there's a fee for won disputes at all bothers me.
For real. It feels like every cent is being sucked out of small merchants...
You have to pay to fight the dispute? That's insane.
I assume there’s payment processor reputation that they get dinged on that they want to price in.
