Plex remote stream no longer free; Plex Pass 2x price hike

Plex is a service I want to like, but I've had so many technical issues over the years, I gave up at some point. I then stopped being the Plex server provider to all of my friends, bought an Apple TV, got Infuse Pro and never looked back for even a split second.
I bought Infuse a few years ago. But then they came with a Pro version. Did not make me happy. Now the Pro is subscription based. It makes sense because we all have to pay bills, but the path chosen makes me using Vlc instead.
I hate subscriptions a lot but Infuse is literally $1 per month.
Plex got increasingly annoying to use, I switched to jellyfin, which I mostly use from my Roku, and it's great.
The suckers at Kodi still develop it for free.
This is the first I heard of this?
