File C-Corp taxes for a new startup using TurboTax Business Desktop on Mac?
We're a bootstrapped Delaware C-Corp. In 2024, we made less than $1k in revenue and didn't pay ourselves or contractors. Our only expenses are infrastructure, tools and... the biggest expense was the tax prep costs for 2023 with a CPA.
We'd love to file taxes ourselves this year. I see that we can file Form 1120 for a C-Corp with TurboTax Business Desktop software but it's only available for Windows.
The problem is that we don't have Windows laptops in our company or even family. I'd like to know if it'll work using Parallels before I buy TurboTax ($190) and Parallels (~$90).
Has anyone tried using TurboTax Business Desktop for DIY C-Corp taxes on a Mac with a Windows emulator?
Thank you! You can use VirtualBox, then you don’t have to buy Parallels just for this single task. But you’d need an x86 Mac not Apple silicon. I’m using VMware Fusion on my old Intel Mac for the occasional Windows task. I think Fusion is a free download now too
