Could just as well be the case that parents choose a name that they identify with, which stems from their own cultural experience. The child, looking like their parents, thus will "look like" the parents' identity, since others too can associate that name with that identity. Would be interesting to see if such an effect can be shown for siblings - that would give them a stronger argument.
