What prevents this from happening with any vehicle that has electrically operated doors and windows if a crash damages/shorts the battery?

    Hopefully a reasonably standard, visible door handle that will 'always' work, like the stuff we've been having for many decades now?

        Shocking, I know, manual, me-chanical, actuated by an actually moving human hand exerting, if you'll excuse my bluntness, force on a material lever, if you can imagine. I know it sounds gross but it just might work to save lives, so I believe we should overcome our acquired disgust for manual operation and try this method.

          More shocking --- some cars have doors that are *electrically operated*. Not all are me-chanical. Those that are not are the subject of my post.
