Falsehoods Programmers Believe About Names (2010)

Oldie but goodie: always love seeing this article from our own Patio11 resurface now and then.

And god does it hurt to read it - one walks away wishing we didn't have names, from a coding standpoint, given the painful variety of names on the planet. I don't suppose there's any open source equiv. of time that one can include to make it all easier (ie, given the old classic of Falsehoods Programmers Believe About Time Zones etc)

What about Mr. Null? His name is not in the list, directly and indirectly.
