Ask HN: Solo devs, where do you find others to talk about your projects with?
I'm building a small startup and I'm not yet at the point of seeking funding/advisors so I do not have that community. Most of my friends aren't devs and the ones that are are generally too busy with work to hang out on like a discord channel of devs.
I'm finding myself having questions like 'what email marketing platform should i use' that I want to ask people, but there doesn't seem to be a place to do that that isn't infested with people whose main goal is to promote their own projects (e.g. producthunt). 'Build in public' communities on twitter have good volume of discussions like these. I usually just ask perplexity.ai and chaptgpt.
