Write Documents in Markdown

I like the premise of writing docs in Markdown. Compared to more traditional documentation frameworks (Hugo, Jekyll, Sphinx, MkDocs, etc.), is it fair to say that the main distinction with this one is that it specifically targets PDF rather than HTML?
