Show HN: I embedded GPT to stop wasting time on YouTube

For the past 10 years, I’ve built side projects but never published them. I always assumed no one else would find them useful. This time, a lot of my friends pushed me to share it - so here it is.
Like many, I spend a lot of time on YouTube - learning, keeping up with tech, researching before I buy stuff, etc. But I got tired of 30+ minute videos packed with fluff when all I wanted was a simple answer.
So I built a Chrome extension that embeds a minimal chat next to your YouTube video. It lets you: - Get quick summaries so you don’t have to watch the entire video - Ask specific questions like “What database is he using and why?” - Jump straight to key moments instead of scrubbing through the timeline
Under the hood, it uses OpenAI and pulls from the transcript, description, top comments, and even the current frame you’re seeing.
This started as a tool for myself, but I hope it helps others too. You can try it out for free.
