What's the best way to Backup and restore your Gmail account (including attachments over 20MB in size) ? Google Takeout? Enable IMAP over SSL in your account settings. Use Thunderbird or whatever your favorite IMAP client may be to copy the emails including attachments locally. Push any of the contents up to whatever account you wish over IMAP.
