Censorship most assuredly continues to exist on social media.

Even X, which Musk parades as unique in the freeness of its speech is quite happy to demonetise, de-amplify and de-platform prescribed opinions.

That 'fact checking' has been confined to the dustbin, is progress, but lets not kid ourselves that censorship is over.

Maybe the political culture is different in America, but I can't imagine anyone in real life ever talking like this. And if they did, you'd have a real concern for their well-being.
