Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp Outage
Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook messenger are having an outage according to downdetector.
I wonder if the T-Mobile spike [0] is actually T-Mobile depending on Meta for something relatively minor (say, a widget on their website), or if it's users not knowing the difference between their carrier and an app when the app doesn't load.
In past experience it's usually the latter.
Glad that I found out about the outage here. Slowly moving away from those apps.
How can you move away from WhatsApp?
As a European that is. Everyone is on it.
Acknowledged officially by Instagram/Whatsapp (on Twitter!) 13:54ET
> We’re aware of some issues accessing WhatsApp. We’re actively working on a solution and starting to see a return to normal for most people. We expect things to be back to normal shortly.

London here. Messenger dropped connection in the middle of a call :/
Whatsapp wasn't working for me for approx. 8 minutes. It's working now
checked meta status page and there seems to be a problem with their "ads transparency" services at the same time frame where the outage happened https://metastatus.com/ads-transparency
edit: they've updated the status page and apparently many services are experiencing outages
Strange that they don't seem to have any status page that's not only for "Meta business products" - some page with the status of FB, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram would be nice.
Northern Europe here.
Has been down for over 20 minutes.
Suddenly logged out of Messenger then FB - got "wrong password" error, had a quick panic, checked twitter, and calmed down.
SEV0. That will be fun when it comes time for review.
In Brazil I'm getting reports for Instagram, WhatsApp, and Facebook being down.
On instagram it returns "5xx Server Error"
Seeing the same here, unable to open the website or to send messages in the mobile app - UK.
ChatGPT was down for 15m min in Denmark
Same in Portugal
