LinkedIn's biometric verification will prioritize your profile in search results
bohemianvalley.techI am surprised how companies and governments fail to grasp how exhausting this is. LinkedIn is deaf to this exhaustion.
Figure out how to verify me without providing a copy of my "photo of your identification document", my "biometric chip in [my] ID", and "selfie".
I am willing to bet within a short time the information will be used to aggregate and interlink data for a profile of me from multiple resources, not just LinkedIn. Biometrics are one of the things that cannot be changed like a password or PIN. I am not adding this much detail into LinkedIn.
I have not forgotten the breaches of LinkedIn in 2012 and two in 2021. I have not seen any public reassurance that those breaches have been corrected.
So my final idea, if an organization had a breach, they have to publish to everyone what they have done. It has to include a third-party audit.
