Ask HN: Is your company's interview process organized and fair?

1 points by justegorio a year ago · 0 comments · 1 min read

Hi everyone,

My teammate and I have spent quite some time interviewing candidates at various companies, and we've often found the process to be messy and sometimes unfair. Different interviewers for the same position may ask different questions, leading to evaluations based on personal opinions.

We've also seen many interviewers struggle - they might not know what questions to ask, forget to support stressed candidates, find it hard to evaluate objectively, and often dislike writing detailed feedback afterward.

We're building a product to address these problems. Our goal is to help hiring teams organize the interview process by planning questions for all rounds, encouraging every interviewer to ask similar questions, assess the same skills, and evaluate every candidate using consistent criteria.

We'd love your input to help shape the future of our product. If you can, please share your thoughts:

• Have you experienced these or other issues in your company's interviewing process?

• Is the interviewing process well-organized at your current or past company?

• What software, if any, you or your company use?

P.S. Despite the hype around AI interviewers, we believe final decisions should always be made by people, see https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/ai-interviewers-future-hiring-hirezen-app-yhdgc
