Roedy Green of "How to Write Unmaintainable Code", Died on October 5, 2023

Roedy was my life partner for over 22 years. He was the wisest and kindest person I've ever known - a true Bodhisattva. His whole life was devoted to "helping the planet"! He passed in my arms of MAiD, severely disabled by stroke, and terrified that a future stroke would deprive him of the legal ability to consent.

I think of him whenever I hear the Crash Test Dummies' "Superman Song": "Sometimes I despair the world will never see another man like him!"
