Ask HN: Resources on Computational Models for Language

1 points by burrito_brain · 0 comments · 1 min read

Hello HN, I wanted to get into computational models for language, specifically for language evolution. This is pretty far from what I studied (undergrad in Physics and currently PhD in applied math.), at least on the linguistic side. I'm mostly looking for works that deal with how language evolves, or has evolved, and how you can simulate and reproduce this process. I already had a look around, and it seems there are quite a lot of works, so if there are any experts that could point me to some specific papers or books, it would be greatly appreciated!
