Ah, the good old “my job is so poorly paid I’ll work two” — rebranded as something good for your career.

Or maybe toxic hustle culture, rebranded.

A good 9-5 job won’t leave you requiring a second. And all the benefits it supposedly lists (like upskilling in other areas) can be done through hobbies or voluntary side projects.

Normalise single job, 9-5, again.

I guess that in this dystopia we have collectively built, having to work multiple jobs is no longer an unfortunate circumstance, but is now a hot new "polyworking" trend.
