I’ve been here as a teen. It’s amazing! I was blown away by the creativity.

Gotta love the mechanical creativity that happens in south/south-east asian countries. It's all over youtube.

I really love how eccommerce has done a lot to level a good chunk of the difference between the kit that's available in the West and in SE Asia. We can see each other cobbling stuff together out of what's available and implement and/or improve upon it more quickly because the metaphorical lego bins we're digging in are much more similar than in years past.

along the same lines, here's a creator on youtube who (sometimes) makes whacky vehicles - https://www.youtube.com/@colinfurze

here is a popular one - bike running on a "jet" engine - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKHz7wOjb9w

Off topic:- I am going to Hyderabad in the next weeks to setup our offshore team. What are some restaurants, museums and parks that are worthwhile. Any recommendations on the equivalent of a central park in Hyderabad?

TBH, Hyderabad is quite underwhelming from a tourism perspective.

From the slim pickings we have, in no particular order:

    - High tea and heritage tour at the Falknuma Palace

    - Salar Jung Museum: The Veiled Rebecca and Mephistopheles and Margaretta are the highlights. The Musical Clock is vastly overrated.

    - Chowmahalla Palace

    - The Nizam's Museum

    - Qutub Shahi Tombs

    - Jewel of the Nizam for upscale Hyderabadi dining

    - Burma Burma Resturant and Tea Room for vegetarian Asian fusion cuisine

    - Ramoji Film City if you're into that sort of a thing.

Might want to ask in https://www.reddit.com/r/hyderabad/

I was last there 10+ years ago, but the lake in the center of the city (https://maps.app.goo.gl/yVzEBmEbc8Qu6rC98) had a few parks around it and was pleasant to walk around.

Biryani is the local favorite food. Paradise is(was?) a popular, if touristy, place to get it: https://www.paradisefoodcourt.in/

    Golconda Fort was impressive: https://www.lonelyplanet.com/india/andhra-pradesh/hyderabad-...

If you have some time, visit Vizag. It has some cool beaches, and the city has both hills and beaches. I liked the vibe of the city.

Also visit the Buddha statue in Hussein Sagar.

Sometimes INTACH Hyderabad has good heritage walks. Might wanna check with them.

Try the tea there - The Hyderabadi/Irani chai (will be very sweet but goodness it's tasty!) - Cafe Niloufer. The cafe is named after the Turkish daughter in law of the erstwhile Nizam. She was/is really loved there.

Go to KBR. The walk isn't too bad, and there's peacocks around, if that's your sort of thing.
