Chinese researchers break RSA encryption with a quantum computer

From the article: “Using the D-Wave Advantage, we successfully factored a 22-bit RSA integer"

Is this really news? People have been implimenting Shor's algorithm in quantum hardware for years but there's not enough precision or scale to make it relevant.

At least they're publishing it!
