I really like this article.

One thing the article doesn’t mention is that a fresh leader can validate their progress towards managerial success by comparing their progress against their peers. That won’t make anyone a better leader, but it can serve to indicate if their hard work is aligned with progress in the right direction or if they need some guidance and realignment.

Apparently there's gender bias and women in the company are suffering. Now the mentor is saying to just ignore it all and pretend everything is ok? That's the solution?

What am I missing? Did the person actually get promoted? The title implies it but even at the end of the article there was no mention of such an outcome.
