I made a bulletproof LinkedIn Scraper

5 points by isnotaname a year ago · 6 comments · 1 min read

I made a LinkedIn Scraper that stands out for its success rates, data completeness and price (yeah, it's way cheaper than rivals, who perform worse).

This scraper got much liked by reddit users, so I'm curious what hackernews follks will say.

Check it out here: https://getapihub.cloud

You are describing it as a scraper (which sounds sketchy), but your link says it is a provider for the LinkedIn API. What is it, really? And why would we need it because, as your page indicates, Linkedin does have an existing API.

It is a scraper, and you would need it because LinkedIn doesn't have any meaningful public API

Have you considered selling access on RapidAPI? How does your scraper compare to the ones offered on RapidAPI?

Yes, I'm currently considering RapidAPI, but mainly just as a traffic source. For one of my projects, I tried the 'Fresh LinkedIn Profile Data' API from RapidAPI, which comes at a cost and isn't always perfect in terms of success rate
