Ask HN: HN for Other Verticals?
I really enjoy HN for deep, well written articles about a wide array of tech topics, with occasional non-tech topics. While HN has its flaws, it's continued to be a positive source of information in my life.
Other verticals that HN occasionally covered are: business, health, literature, history, science, politics, religion, philosophy, etc.
Are there any other similar sites focused on these verticals? http://www.datatau.com/ gets mentioned occasionally for data science, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot going on in terms of comments https://www.bogleheads.org/ for finance and investing https://lobste.rs/ for tech, slower than HN Also, here’s a starting point for your search from a previous thread: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29214788 Reddit would be an option wouldn't it? Reddit used to be my go-to. However, it has become more difficult (not impossible) to find subreddits with nuance. Many have become either over-moderated or entirely one-sided. Plus the enshittification always rubs me the wrong way.
