This took a few days to sink in and collide with the other floating islands of facts in my mapper mind. Well worth the watch!

It's caused me to reconsider my response[1] on an earlier thread about a leaked talk by Eric Schmidt[2]. In that thread, I grappled with the meaning of this part of the talk

  >So imagine a non-arrogant programmer that actually does what you want

Previously I had made the assumption that it was all about the frustration of getting what you want out of programmers as they simultaneously try to match the technical limitations of computing against your desires.

Now I think it was about trying to get around their ethics, in service of profit uber alles.
