Ask HN: How do you download encrypted videos?
There is this fitness website that I am subscribed to. They use vimeo embedded content for their workouts. Until recently I was able to download their videos with one click using the ant firefox video downloader. Now I am only able to save videos in "bits" of a few second, separated from audio as they are, I assume, put in some kind of containers as a part of their encryption. I have tried ytd and it doesn't work, as well as countless other video downloader extensions. It's a bummer because I don't own a smart TV and putting them on USB drive and playing them as a mp4 was the only way I could work out.
