Don't use protonmail you've been warned
Proton mail is probably the worst email service I've used even gmail is better in comparison.
So as I woke up 2 days ago to a bunch of weird notifications on my phone of some cruchyroll signups I knew instantly it was some bored teenager trying their tool on me, not a big deal since any email provider worth their salt can just refuse traffic coming from that server and call it a day, right? Well not with protonmail since if you want to suspend any protonmail account you want, all you'd have to do is bulk sign them up for a bunch of websites and that will do it.
They don't even temporarily disable your account they just suspend it and their support will ignore you.
I've been their customer since 2017 and used to recommend them to people, I guess not anymore. If you weren't doing anything wrong, just send an appeal if you haven't already https://proton.me/support/appeal-abuse
