Ask HN: Thinking about selling my SaaS business
a throwaway account for privacy reasons.
I'm thinking about selling my SaaS business, which I have been running for almost three years now. Modest year-over-year growth (50-60%), low churn, healthy profit margin (90%), loyal customer base, strong SEO.
tech stack is simple - vanilla Rails app, Sidekiq + Redis, SQLite, hosted on Hetzner's bare metal server.
The business doesn't require much maintenance, but it does require some technical skills to operate. The biggest channel is SEO, which is on autopilot.
* MRR - $1.7k ($20k ARR)
* TTM Revenue - $17k
* TTM Profit - $15k
* ARPU - $9.1
* LTV - $140
Asking price - $85k (lower, if you're willing to move quickly)
There's room for growth, but you'll need to invest in further product development.
The previous business I sold was neglected by the new owner and shut down two years later. I built a lot of goodwill with my customers, so looking for someone who will take good care of them.
Email bold.cat8303 {at} fastmail {dot} com if you're interested. I would be more than happy to show financial statements and other supporting documents after signing an NDA. Why are you selling it? I've been working on and off on it for a few years now but have never given it my 100%. I want to focus on something else going forward.
