Entrepreneur Books
What are your favorite books on entrepreneurship and business? Books that helped in your project directly or indirectly "Surviving a Startup" by Steven Hoffman was a fantastic read. Lots of practical advice on how to go about things (e.g. legal, funding, building a team, etc.). I also really enjoyed the "How I Built This" podcast by Guy Raz. I listened to it maybe 3 or 4 years ago and it was absolutely the most motivating and interesting podcast I ever listened to. There's also a book (that I found last year); I'll read it soon. In the podcast, he interviews founders from well-known companies and basically asks them questions on how they got started. I imagine the book is a condensed version of the interviews from the podcast. Can't wait to read it! I did not know about Surviving a startup. It seems promissing. I will have a look. About How I built this I follow the podcast and I have heard most of the episodes. I like it. I will consider the book. Thank you! "The hard thing about hard things" by Ben Horowitz is a favorite of mine. It's a very honest take on entrepreneurship and the requirements and sacrifice needed for success. I have heard many good things about this book, but I never decided to buy it. I thought it was for big companies, and I am a small entrepreneur, so I thought it was not for me. Am I wrong? I enjoyed "Company of one". Even more after I learned his latest startup project took off and he now has a team of people. Thus showing no advice is true in all situations. I suppose you talk about:
