What is the most important factor when you change jobs?
I'm asking this question because I'm thinking about changing jobs, and I'd like to know if my seniors have any good advice for me.
Being a software engineer working in China, maybe this question may be thought from a very different perspective for most people here. Because in China we may face the question of whether to choose something like 996 (working from 9am to 9pm, 6 days a week) in exchange for a higher salary. I think this is something that is probably rare elsewhere. The question amounts to how important is money when changing jobs. For reference, if I chose 996, I would probably get twice the pay.
Of course, I'd like to know all of your thoughts, so feel free to chime in! no personal growth opportunity (no new things to learn) It makes perfect sense. But my question is that when we switch to a new job, we always learn something new. But most of the jobs are repetitive labor (for programmers too). I mean they are all not very challenging.
How do I go about determining if I can grow better? Of course these are just my questions and I am open to any ideas you may have. Getting paid.
