CONTEXT: My field/job/income doesn’t exist anymore. 34 years old.

CHALLENGE: I need the time/mental energy to dedicate to re-skilling, while earning enough to support myself and dog.

MORE-CONTEXT: Previously made 150k in antiquated profession. Could potentially make 100k in another profession, but no room for growth and would likely be too exhausted to skill on the side.

WHAT I’M CONSIDERING: Taking a job as a schoolbus driver, making 45-55k while I complete certifications for the next 2 years and improve some target skill competencies. The idea being the job would be easy enough to give me the mental bandwith to school.

Tell me: Is this crazy? My chief concern is being able to support myself. Is there a better option i’m missing? Should I be pursuing somekind of white collar part-time role in a position i’m not aware of.
