For the same reason they sponsor sailing and catamaran teams.
This is such a better explanation than "because old white men watch F1"
F1 has a strong need for IT but not so much money ... so they go the sponsorship way: services in exchange for publicity
An excuse to take clients and show off how solvent they are.
